Client Side Software Architecture

VALT is a web-based application.

The client software consists of two primary components.

Browser	Tested Version	Compatibility Score	Compatibility Notes
Chrome	Latest Available	5	IVS recommended browser for best compatibility Used for all development, quality assurance, and bug testing
Edge	Latest Available	5	Based on Chromium Expect very similar compatibility to Chrome
Firefox	Latest Available	4	Highly compatible May experience minor issues when browser-specific development changes are made
Safari	Latest Available	2	Not recommended when viewing more than two streams Viewing three or more streams will experience degraded performance due to Safari's Websocket fragmentation implementation
