ROAM Cart Model A is a lightweight mobile rolling cart with a Pan-Tilt-Zoom camera and microphone. It is powered using Power over Ethernet (PoE) and requires a wired ethernet connection. The customer can push and position the cart in any room with an ethernet port connected to their VALT system network. Once they plug the cart into the ethernet port using the included 23-foot ethernet cable, they can stream and record video to VALT. General Information

The ROAM Camera Cart is a lightweight mobile rolling cart with a Pan-Tilt-Zoom camera and microphone that streams and records audio and video to VALT. ROAM Camera Cart supports flexible recording spaces and may be the only device(s) in a room or used in or in conjunction with physically installed cameras. Example use cases include in-situ recording, patient observation, and recording in multi-purpose or shared spaces where physical installation is not possible.

A ROAM Camera Cart recording may be initiated/ended via the VALT software using the "record" button or schedule tool. If the ROAM Camera Cart is in a room where there is an installed camera then a physical accessory may also be used to manage recording based on VALT room configuration in the software.

NOTE: Each ROAM Camera Cart requires a VALT license.

ROAM Camera Cart Models

ROAM Camera Cart is available in three different Models:

 • Models A
 • Model B
 • Model C

Model A

ROAM Cart Model A is a lightweight mobile rolling cart with a Pan-Tilt-Zoom camera and microphone. It is powered using Power over Ethernet (PoE) and requires a wired ethernet connection. The customer can push and position the cart in any room with an ethernet port connected to their VALT system network. Once they plug the cart into the ethernet port using the included 23-foot ethernet cable, they can stream and record video to VALT. Please note, unlike Models B and C, Model A does not include a speaker for software talkback.

🕮
ROAM Cart Model A is the only cart that may be shipped internationally and only if more than 5 carts are requested. If so, shipping pricing will be determined at that time.

Model B

ROAM Cart Model B is a lightweight mobile rolling cart with a Pan-Tilt-Zoom camera, microphone and speaker. Since PoE is not sufficient to power the camera and the speaker, Model B is powered using utility power and must be plugged into an electrical outlet in the room in which it is set up for A/V capture. Model B is wireless with the option to use a wired ethernet connection. If wired, please note, the cart will have two cords running from it, one to the electric outlet and one to the ethernet port.

Model C

ROAM Cart Model C is a lightweight mobile rolling cart with a Pan-Tilt-Zoom camera, microphone and speaker. It is battery powered. The battery supports approximately 15 hours of runtime before needing to plug into charge, or the customer can purchase a second battery and charging station to have hot swappable batteries and continuous runtime without ever having to plug in the cart. Model C is wireless with the option to be wired using an ethernet cable. Model C is the completely cordless ROAM Cart option for portable audio/video capture on a customer's VALT network.

A technical call is required for models B and C, prior to sale to assess wireless network capability. ROAM Carts Models B and C require stable wireless coverage between -50 and -67 dBm at the location of recording and consistent bandwidth of at least 50 mb/s. It is difficult for IVS to know if ROAM Cart will work on a customer’s wireless network because there are factors we cannot control, but if a customer implements industry best practices for their wireless network bandwidth and coverage, ROAM Cart should work well wirelessly.
