To factory reset an Axis camera, you can either use the camera's control buttons or the camera's maintenance pages:
Control buttons
- Disconnect the camera's power
- Press and hold the camera's Control button
- While holding down the Control button, reconnect the camera's power
- Keep holding the Control button until the camera's status LED turns amber
- Release the Control button
- Wait for the status LED to turn green, which indicates the camera has been reset
Maintenance pages
- Go to the camera's setup pages
- Select System Options from the left-hand menu
- Select Maintenance
- Click the Factory default button
Notes
After resetting the camera, the default IP address for Axis devices is 192.168.0.90 if the network does not have a DHCP server.
✎Most networks have a DHCP server that automatically assigns IP addresses to connected devices.
