To factory reset an Axis camera, you can either use the camera's control buttons or the camera's maintenance pages:


Control buttons

  1. Disconnect the camera's power
  2. Press and hold the camera's Control button
  3. While holding down the Control button, reconnect the camera's power
  4. Keep holding the Control button until the camera's status LED turns amber
  5. Release the Control button
  6. Wait for the status LED to turn green, which indicates the camera has been reset

Maintenance pages

  1. Go to the camera's setup pages
  2. Select System Options from the left-hand menu
  3. Select Maintenance
  4. Click the Factory default button

Notes

After resetting the camera, the default IP address for Axis devices is 192.168.0.90 if the network does not have a DHCP server.

Most networks have a DHCP server that automatically assigns IP addresses to connected devices.
