Creating Zoom & VALT Connection

  1. Register or Login to your Zoom Account
  2. Navigate to the Zoom API creation page
  3. Select Develop > Build App > General App
  4. Give the App a name
    5. ✎
    VALT Zoom Integration is the default
  5. Choose User-Managed

    Copy the Client ID and Client Secret. These are going to be needed later
  6. Fill in the required fields:
    7. OAuth Redirect URL https://<serverfqdn>/user/connect-zoom
    OAuth Allow List https://<serverfqdn>
  7. Bypass all of the "Features" section
  8. Configure Scopes

    • cloud_recording:read:recording
    • cloud_recording:read:list_recording_files
    • cloud_recording:read:list_user_recordings
    • user:read:email
    • user:read:settings
    • user:read:user
    • meeting:read:summary
    • meeting:read:list_meetings
    • meeting:read:list_past_instances
    • meeting:read:meeting

Configuring VALT for Zoom Integration

This is where we will use the Zoom Client ID and Secret that we noted earlier.

Linking VALT Account with Zoom Account

The Zoom Integration group right needs to be enabled for the user group before configuration.

Try it out!

  1. Login to your VALT Account
  2. Click on Profile > Settings
  3. Click on Connect Zoom Account
    • You will be redirected to a Zoom account login page
  4. Accept the permissions and Login with your Zoom account
  5. Your Zoom account is connected!

Your Zoom Cloud Recordings created within the last 30 days will load into your account once connected and the will load all new recordings - done once a day.
