System Update Frequency
Are Updates Automatically Applied to My System?
Security patches and updates can be applied automatically through the unattended-upgrades service. Updates to VALT and other packages are not automatically applied to your system and require regular system maintenance.
How Frequently Should I Update My System?
IVS always recommends customers be on the latest version of the VALT application to provide them access to the latest features, improvements, and fixes.
It is recommended to follow your organizational policy on the frequency of applying system updates to your VALT system.
How Do I Schedule Updates?
Updates can be scheduled using this link here
Does IVS Notify Me When Updates Are Released?
IVS will notify customers that are listed as a VALT Update Contact when there is a new Major version (6.X, 7.X, etc.) or Minor version (6.6, 6.7, etc.) that is available.
IVS does not notify customers every time a new patch version of VALT gets released. It is recommended to follow along with our Release Notes page to stay up to date on what the latest version of VALT is.
