🕮
Calendar Integration is compatible with VALT 6.5.
⚠
Before configuring Calendar Integration in VALT, please make sure you've completed a Calendar Integration Discovery call and understand the prerequisites.
Create VALT Enterprise Application and Grab Identifier Information
- Access and login to your Azure Portal
- Go to Enterprise Applications
- Click New Application
- Select Create your own application
- Give it a name (ex. Demo Calendar Integration) and select Integrate any other application you don't find in the gallery (Non-gallery) and click Create
- Go to App registrations, select All applications and click on the application that was just created
- Make note of the Application (client) ID and the Directory (tenant) ID
✎
These are required for VALT integration
Setup Client Secrets and Configure URIs
- In App registrations, go to Manage > Certificates & Secrets
- Click New client secret, add a Description (ex. Demo Calendar Integration), choose an expiration, and click Add
- Go to Overview and click on Add a Redirect URI
- Select Add Redirect URI, choose Web, add in your VALT server FQDN as the Redirect URI, and click Configure
- Format must be https://yourvaltserver.com
- Click on Settings, check Access tokens, and uncheck ID tokens and click Save
- Go to Overview and click on Add an Application ID URI
- Click Add and then click Save
✎
Be sure to make note of the Value and Secret ID as this will be needed for VALT configuration and will be hidden in the future and you will need to create a new one
Configure Graph API Permissions
- Go to Manage > API permissions and click Add a permission
- Choose Microsoft Graph > Application permissions, select Calendars.ReadWrite and MailboxSettings.Read and then click Add permissions
- Once permissions have been added, you will need to grant admin consent
- Once properly done, the status should reflect as Granted with a green checkmark

Configure Calendar Values
- Login to VALT with an Administrative account and go to Settings > Servers & Services
- Click the "+" symbol and select Calendar
- Give the configuration an arbitrary name (ex. Calendar Integration)
- Using the values gathered from Azure, fill out the Tenant ID, Client ID, and Client Secret Value and then turn the Enabled toggle on
- Click Save
