- Connect to the server via SSH or access the shell on the console.
- Type sudo nano /etc/ssh/sshd_conf
- Scroll to the bottom of the file.
- Add the following lines:
- Ciphers aes128-ctr,aes192-ctr,aes256-ctr
- MACs hmac-sha1,umac-64@openssh.com,hmac-ripemd160
- Press CTRL-X
- Enter Y to save changes
- Do not change the name of the file and press enter to save.
