Client Side Software Architecture

VALT is a web-based application. The software has been validated with the following web browsers:

  • IVS recommended browser for best compatibility
  • Used for all development, quality assurance, and bug testing
Microsoft edge logo .png Edge Latest Available 5
  • Based on Chromium
  • Expect very similar compatibility to Chrome
Firefox-logo.png Firefox Latest Available 4
  • Highly compatible
  • May experience minor issues when browser-specific development changes are made
Safari-logo.png Safari Latest Available 2
  • Not recommended when viewing more than two streams
  • Viewing three or more streams will experience degraded performance due to Safari's Websocket fragmentation implementation

The client software consists of two primary components.
