Installation Instructions

  1. Locate the network drop that is ran back to the POE switch. (If the switch does not have POE, you will need to insert a POE injector back at the network closet.)
  2. Using a set of wall dog screws, mount the Louroe IFPX above into the drywall above drop ceiling. (Note, if no drop ceiling make other arrangements to mount the IFPX.)
  3. Connect the network drop into the RJ-45 (f) on the IFPX that reads Power+Data In. When connected, you should see activity on the link lights. If no link lights appear, ensure that POE is enabled on your POE switch and that the network drop is plugged in.
  4. Attach the CAT5/6 patch cable to the RJ-45 (f) on the IFPX labeled Power+Data Out. This will eventually plug into the Q8414 camera.
  5. Take the 3.5mm Male to Male audio cable and connect it to the 3.5mm jack labeled AUDIO OUT on the IFPX. This will eventually feed the camera. (See Picture)

  6. Depending on the material of the ceiling, use a 1" paddle bit or a wall dozer to drill a hole in the corner of the ceiling to run the network drop and 3.5 mm audio cable.
  7. Remove the camera from the wall mount casing. Remove the gaskets from the back and side panels. With the mount placed in it's install location, make marks for the side and top screws.
  8. Drill holes for the mounting screws. Place the gaskets back into the side holes.
  9. Run the network drop and 3.5 mm audio cable through the ceiling. Secure the mount into place. As you do this, you will want to run the network cable through the top back hole, and the audio cable through the bottom hole. Drill the screws into the side holes, using the washers provided.
  10. Pull the network and audio cables through the gaskets, and drag the gaskets into place in the back holes.
  11. Guide the network and audio cable through the cable tunnels to the back of the camera, and plug them in (the pink port is AUDIO IN).
  12. Carefully adjust the cables, feeding them back into the ceiling if need be, to keep them from being pinched behind the camera as we mount it to the bracket. Make sure the IR window is in the 6 o'clock position; attach the camera using the T20 bit.

Attaching the microphone

  1. Strip the jacket off the 22/2, revealing the red, black, and common (bare wire) on both sides of the cable. Remove the string and plastic casings covering the red and black cables. Strip the red and black jackets off the wire exposing the copper. Cut copper evenly on both ends (See picture).

  2. Drill a hole into the piece of ceiling tile that you will be mounting the Louroe Verifact-A. Feed one end of the the 22/2 audio cable through the hole. Connect the audio cable to the Verifact-A phoenix terminal as follows; Red to A, Black to B, Common (bare wire) to C (See Picture)

  3. Connect the other end of your 22/2 cable to the terminal on the IFPX labeled MIC/SPEAKER A B C SP. The connections will be as follows; Red to A, Black to B, Common (bare wire) to C (See Picture)
