Password Rules
In VALT 5, there is a setting for Password Rules. If this is enabled, it will enforce password standards for local user accounts within that group.
- Failed Attempt Lockout
- Ten failures results in a 3 minute lockout.
- Password Complexity
- A password must contain 3 of the following 4 types of characters.
- Uppercase
- Lowercase
- Number
- Symbol
- Password History
- User cannot use the last 3 passwords.
- Password Expiration
- User passwords will expire after 180 days.
